Musical Sundial by John Becker
------------------------------

Everyday Practical Electronics/ ETI June 1999

This super novel PIC-powered design detects the movement of a shadow through the day,
and when the shadow falls over an opto-sensor, the design sounds the appropriate
number of Westminster Chimes (Big Ben), and plays a musical ditty in celebration!
Built in audio amplifier for the loudspeaker. Great for the summer garden!

Although designed for UK latitudes, the author has fully worked the instructions
needed for readers in overseas climes. All parts are mounted on a circular p.c.b.,
available from the EPE PCB Service.
